quotes without seeing the angles, tt length, so, etc which could nix the deal from the get go. 680mm bar i would change=$100, pedals=$100, shorter stem$75. mec wouldn't change these like an lbs. don't rly understand the 10spd w/out the 36t on the cogset so eventually i'd have to get 11-36 and a bashguard w bigger mid ring=$250ish. so at $500 extra the LBS might be a better choice to get what you want/need, and hope the seat is comfy for you. not bad looking just a lil risky and missing a bit on the spec

Remedy talk. I borrowed a Fox 36, and I tried it last night with Reg Mullett. Helmet mounted lights. We hiked up about 2000 feet in the snow using mini crampons. Bombed down. The top section and the conditions demanded use of the awesome tripod technique -- point, slide and steer, and hang one for the fun. So sweet. Riding and sliding in snow is not the best test to see how the 36 feels on the Remedy, but my initial reaction is this -- very nice indeed. The 32 and the 68 degree head angle, together, was a bit too XC oriented for my liking; I'm all about going downhill, so I won't mind the added weight and the slight drawback while climbing. Plus, I want to be able to fling myself off stuff. The Remedy-with-a-36 is in between the Remedy-with-a-32 and the Slash. I may be keeping the bike.

Aside, how are you doing? How is your injury? Are you going to be riding Frisbie with me this year or what, ol' cock?

I've heard lots about it. Been almost too busy to ride, which is a cop-out really. I'll go ride it next week.

Fingers crossed for you, buddy. No surgery! Positive energy.

Wow, Sean, you are indeed luck. You can feel your toes, buddy! Keep me posted on whether or not you will need surgery. I'm doing well, thanks. I probably should be riding more, but a girl is involved. Which is more important? Well, I do love biking...however. You know. I'm going to do the Dirt Diggler thing this weekend though. Fun times. I'm not even going to race, just ride down. Racing's not my thing. I'm going to get top-to-bottom footage of my run, so I'll post it here.
